The answer is no. Lisa Boyle is not the porn actress Cassandra Leigh. Only the names are the same. Even though it is strange that there are two different persons in the movies with same stage name under the same period of time (even though the one was active in the late 80s and the second in the 90s), Cassandra Leigh is not an uncommon name:

- Cassandra Leigh (1739-1827) is the well-known mother of the author Jane Austin.
- Cassandra Leigh was the stage name the fine Canadian country and female alternative music singer Cassandra Vasik for a brief time in the 1980s.  Her real name is actually Sandra Vasicek.
- And there is a contemporary American painter with the same name.

Some of Lisa's older movies have later been released with her real name - meaning the same movie can be listed with different cast names. The uses of two names have not only confused this site for a while, but also "The Internet Movie Databases" and video companies as with "VideoFlicks" that listed one definite Lisa Boyle movie (Midnight Tease) with the x-movies of the porn actress Cassandra Leigh.

The patterns behind how Lisa Boyle uses the stage name Cassandra Leigh is not obvious, but seem like that she has been using it up to the latest years, where she has mostly used her real name Lisa Boyle. She has never made any clarification of her "alter ego" as she calls it. But to squash the rumor of those two, the porn actress Leigh and the alter ego being the same, Lisa have said: "Not only did I not do XXX movies but I never did the X Rated movies by Cassandra Leigh. NO - Never!"

It is difficult to know. Most porn actress fade in, with little to no information of their earlier life, and after a year or two, fade out into the same darkness. It is most likely to date the x-rated movies of the porn-actress Cassandra Leigh to the late 1980s.

The problems to find reliably information is connected to the problem that there is difficult to almost impossible to find dates to porn videos from open sources. The "Adult Video News" is an independent database for movies, and as a source is "semi-open", or difficult to get access to. In fact it's quite a usual age. Peter van Aarle guess that maybe as many as 50% of all porn actresses started between 18 and 21. The in-famous Traci Lords started even earlier and underage, meaning that some of her videos are illegal in the USA.
